SUMMER CAMPS
OPEN CALL for EZERA SKANAS summer camps. 17th - 24th of July.
Ezera Skanas Summer Camps is a carefree space where we give ourselves the freedom to create and enjoy the process of doing. Participants will work on individual projects such as installations, floating objects, photo and film projects, movement pieces and musical performances. The campus provides with materials and infrastructure so every person has time and space to materialise their visions. All projects culminate during Ezera Skanas performance on July 26th.

2025 Theme:

‘’We are just running in circles and playing around.’'
This year, Ezera Skanas contemplates on the cyclical nature of natural phenomena — the alternation of darkness and light, the Earth's rotation on its axis, as well as the cyclical nature of events in human lives. One of the narratives used is the hay harvesting season and the building of haystacks. A haystack is a temporary object in the middle of a meadow that one can inhabit, climb onto, crawl inside, and hide within. You can run and dance around it. For a brief moment, at the end of summer, the haystack becomes the central axis of the meadow, just like the rising sun over the lake is the central axis for the Earth. More about the theme & materials of this year can be find HERE.
